GENERAL QUESTIONS/ANSWERS

Q: "I've never had a psychic reading...Is it okay that I am new to this?  Is it scary?"

A: Bob is pleased to read for anyone, from regular Spiritualist believers to people who have never even considered the reality of psychic phenomena.  And No--a reading with Bob is never scary. Bob often says, "A reading should never be scary, but be entertaining, intriguing, enlightening, and uplifting."

Q: "Do I need to provide my birthdate or bring an object to the reading?"

A: No--Bob does not need, or use, any tools to do his readings.  He connects with his Spirit Guides in the reading, as well as employing his natural psychic abilities of clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairaudience (clear hearing), and clairsentience (clear feeling).

Q: "What is a 'Medium' ?"

A:  A Medium is a person who is sensitive to the vibrations of presences and dimensions beyond the standard 5 senses.  A Medium is a Psychic who can connect with loved ones, guides, teachers, and spiritual beings on the Other Side, commonly called the 'Spirit World'.

Q:  "Does Bob read Tarot cards?"

A:  No. He communicates with the Spirit World to obtain information for you.

Q: "I have a missing family member and the Police are at a loss as to any leads in the investigation...Is Bob available to help locate them?"

Q: "What do I need to do to prepare for a reading with Bob?"

A: It is advised that you prepare a list of questions/topics you would like to explore in the reading--before the reading.  Such preparation ensures that you get to cover what you are most interested in, and makes for a better reading.

Q: "Is Bob connected with Sylvia Browne or John Edward?"

A: No.  Bob is not conected with either of these very talented Mediums.  Many, however, feel that the quality of his work is comparable.  Bob is an independent Psychic-Medium who has no connections with any other Psychics/Mediums.

Q: "I don't live in the Washington DC, metro area...Can Bob read for me by phone?"

Q: "I love to read about Edgar Cayce...According to my research, he was a trance medium...Can Bob do a reading like Edgar Cayce used to do?"

A: Yes.  Bob is an experienced trance channel, which means that he can go into a trance where puts aside his normal conciousness to allow higher entities to briefly use his body to communicate messages from the Spirit World.

Q: "I am with the media and would like to schedule Bob for an interview...Is he available for media inquiries?"

CHANNELING

Many of you have written enquiring as to exactly what is "Channeling". 

Good question! Channeling according to the American Heritage College Dictionary states-- "CHANNELING - The act or practice of serving as a medium through which a spirit guide purportedly communicates with living persons."

I like this definition, but I would expand it to include other forms of channeling such as channeling music or art...I've met many artists who say that their creations come from outside of themselves, and that they are a conduit for the Creative Force.  I agree.

If you are interested in learning more about channeling, keep watching as I will soon be releasing DVDs that you can purchase of actual channeling sessions I do with my guides!!!

When I channel, I enter a trance state that allows me to step aside from my consiousness and body, and allow the guides to enter and use my body, particularly my voice box, to communicate.  I assure you it is a totally painless and harmless practice. As most mediums will tell you, while in trance, they are not fully present, and therefore, don't recall most of the information that has passed through them.  Thank goodness we now have video and tape recorders to capture the phenomena.  In fact, I often say, I am so lucky because I get to sleep while working!

Many who have attended channeling sessions with me have come away amazed at the experience.  I must admit--I too, am fascinated by it ...Though I know the technical mechanics of it, how it all exactly occurs is still in many ways a mystery to me...

An Honor Bestowed

On June 22, 2008, at a Divine Liturgy, of the Essene Orthodox Church, Rev. Bob Hickman was honored with a Title of Nobility by His Beatitude, The Catholicos Mar Frederick of the Essene Orthodox Church for services rendered to the Church.  The Bishop honored Bob with a Dukedom.  As per Letters Patent, issued by the Bishop, Bob shall now be styled as:

His Grace, the Duke of Cherson.

There is a long-standing traditon of Bishops and Patriarchs in the Eastern Church granting titles of honor for services rendered to the Church. 

The title derives from the times of the ancient Byzantine Empire when the Church held temporal control over various territories.  Though the Church no longer holds temporal control, the ancient territories are still recognized within the Holy See of the Church.
